Data requests

Delete or Export Data

Use this page to request access, export, correction, or deletion of Ask Philos account data.

1. Request path

To request export or deletion of your Ask Philos data, email privacy@askphilos.com. You may also contact support@askphilos.com for help routing the request.

Include the email address associated with your Ask Philos account and describe what you are requesting, such as access, export, correction, deletion, or account closure. Do not send sensitive spiritual, medical, legal, or financial details unless they are necessary for the request.

2. Verification

We may need to verify that you control the relevant account before exporting or deleting data. Verification helps protect your account, Journal, Memory, chat history, and other private information from unauthorized requests.

3. Local cache reset

The Ask Philos app may store some information locally on your device, including app settings, Journal or Memory content, cached account state, or temporary files. Removing the app, signing out, or clearing local app storage may reset data on that device.

A local cache reset is not the same as deleting cloud account records or records held by service providers. If you want cloud account data reviewed for deletion, send a verified request to privacy@askphilos.com.

4. Cloud and service provider data

Ask Philos may process account email/auth information, onboarding and spiritual preferences, chat messages, Journal or Memory content sent into AI interactions, usage events, notification data, support requests, safety reports, and subscription or payment-related records handled through Apple, Google, or other providers if enabled.

Some records may be retained where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, backups, accounting, app-store requirements, or operation of the service. We do not claim that an automated self-service deletion flow is currently available.

5. Export requests

You may request a copy of personal information associated with your account where required by applicable law or where we can reasonably provide it. Export format, scope, and timing may depend on the type of data, verification, legal requirements, and technical availability.

6. Subscriptions

If subscriptions are enabled through Apple App Store, Google Play, or another platform, deleting your Ask Philos account may not automatically cancel an active subscription managed by that platform. Use the platform account tools to cancel subscriptions, and contact billing@askphilos.com with billing questions we can review.
